week 18

whaaaaaazzzuuuppp...i'm 4 months old this week...can you believe it?

me neither...this week was filled with lots of exciting things...

sunday i helped mom put together my exersaucer. no, mom slot A goes into slot C not slot B!

i had to go to bed, but when i woke up monday morning i had a surprise waiting on me...it was like christmas all over again. talk about stimulation...

there's stuff back here too?!?

are you not entertained? needless to say...i was.

then monday afternoon i headed over to mia's for a play date. she introduced me to a couple of her friends...

here's mia hamming it up...

this is liam shooting an imaginary sling shot at mom...what a kidder

and this is iris (sorry about the red eye, iris...mom didn't know how to fix it)

we had big fun and i was so sleepy, but i couldn't risk missing anything, so i caught 20 winks (that's 40 winks with one eye open)

iris was having a moment, so liam and i tried comforting her with a group hug

the hug didn't work so we joined hands in a collective word of prayer for her

then mia joined in...i told mom when i got home that girls were too emotional for me...she said "good"

mrs. julie juggling babies...she's so funny

we took a stroll around the neighborhood and we were all konked out by the time it was over...score = mommies-1 babies-0

i went to school with mom tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. to make up for subjecting me to so much penn nursing, mom and i hung out on friday. the weather was so nice...mom, how do i stop this crazy thing?

so she strapped me in and i did my impression of "baby matrix"...

we went to the park and watched the big kids play and then we stopped and had lunch...mom's a pretty good date.

these are a couple of the really pretty trees we saw on our walk

as i told you last week, more shots this past week :o(, but i took it like a champ. mom was curious about the accuracy of the scales at the doctor's office, so she weighed me in the growth lab at the hospital wednesday. i was 14lbs 12oz at the hospital and 15lbs 2oz at the doctor's office...6oz difference. so interesting...i just talked to dr. terri lipman this week while i was at the the school of nursing and she told me about some research she did looking at just that.
unfortunately my next trip to the dr's was not a scheduled one (that's what took mom so long to post this week). mom noticed a couple bumps on my hands sunday...she thought i might have been bit by something, but when i had more on monday on my feet and legs she knew it couldn't be bites because i had pjs on with feet. maybe a reaction to the vaccines...no, as it turns out i've got HFMD (hand foot mouth disease). thank God i don't have sores in my mouth (not being able to eat would not be good for anyone) and i haven't had a fever. the dr said it's going around...mom was trying to play super sleuth and figure out where i might have caught it, but noone we know has it...the world may never know. if you want to read up some more on it you can check out the CDC's website. in the meantime keep me in your prayers...thanks, brock
