week 30

my mimaw signed me up for a dr. seuss book club...

so to commemorate the occasion, i had to pull out that silly cat in the hat (pretty tasty)...

did you know he came back?

yeah, i thought it was pretty funnny too.

ain't i adorable? this past week we celebrated independance day, but we unfortunately didn't really get to partake of all the festivities philly has to offer (maybe next year). we did throw some burgers and dogs on the grill and had the grants over. i didn't even get to stay up and watch the fireworks i heard so much about. again...maybe next year.

but i did get to play dress up again. mommy was kinda busy getting ready for miss (now mrs.) margo's wedding. she was in the wedding, and she had to leave early, so that meant dad had to dress me. i'm pretty squirmy these days and getting a diaper on me is no easy feat...let alone a suit and tie. that said, mom went ahead and took pictures a couple days before the wedding 'cuz she didn't think that would be high on dad's list after he finished wrestling with me.

my tie's still a wee bit big...speaking of "wee"...mom said i looked like "wee-man"...not funny mom, not funny.

i gave dad a run for his money but he had back up...we rode to the wedding with aunt sharon and we sat with aunt monica and uncle mike at the reception. dad kept thinking i was sleepy (i really was, but don't tell him i told you) and kept trying to get me to go to sleep...didn't he know that would mean that i might miss something? i also met a pretty cool fella at our table. his name was chase and he's a year old. his mommy was in the wedding too. mom was pretty busy doing 'wedding stuff' (and dad was pretty busy doing 'brock stuff'), so they didn't get many pictures, but i think aunt sharon captured a few kodak moments. if so, i'll post 'em later.

speaking of kodak...here's mrs. margo and mom out in front of the waterfall at lucien's manor. my first wedding was pretty cool, but i can't wait til i can get my hands on cake!
enjoy the rest of your week :o)
