fall is in the air. the air is crisp and the leaves are changing beautiful colors...warm hues of yellow, orange, and red...

speaking of changing colors to red...i've had a dry patch on my cheek for several months that comes and goes...well, i got another one under my eye and they recently joined forces (sorta like voltron--mom and i talk about old school cartoons sometimes). mom had a feeling it was eczema...her feeling was right. i went to the allergist and got skin tested. as it turns out, i'm allergic to wheat, milk, eggs (no flu shot for me), peanuts, and rye. i've got to go have bloodwork done to see exactly
how allergic to these things i am. i go see the allergist again nov. 18th, so until then mom's gotta stay on her toes so we don't have any more hive episodes. thankfully i'm ok with rice and potatoes and just about every fruit and veggie i've had, so mom's pretty positive about things. hopefully it's all something i'll outgrow, but if not, it'll force mom to broaden her culinary horizons :o). i'll keep you posted...
