Panama City Beach

so we took a drive over to panama city beach on sunday to hang out for a few days...this is where we stayed...

i was lovin' the chocolate and lime green (this was the color scheme mom wanted for my room but dad won out with the jungle mural)

i got dibs on the bed...ok, not really, i had to sleep in the pack n play...

but i got to be a "bed crasher" every morning...

this is dad with his best man, uncle leonard...also known as "big skin"...(that's uncle skin to me). he and daddy were roommates in college and played football together at the university of louisville...go cards! and i thought my dad was a big guy...

dad's got nothing on uncle leonard...look at that smile...he's a gentle giant...uncle leonard luvs da kids! dad hadn't seen him since the wedding, so it was a happy reunion...they even pulled out football film and footage from graduation. dad was so happy to see him and i was glad to finally meet him! we can't let it be another 7 years before we see you again uncle skin...

so i had my first beach experience (check out dads guns...yes, he's got a license to bear arms [LOL])...

we got up and out early before it got too hot...only problem...it was my nap time. i actually fell asleep in the condo and when i woke up there was alllll this water and sand everywhere...it was all too much for me...i needed a dose of thumb...

for those of you wondering, the gulf of mexico water is not like my bath water...way too much and too cool for my liking (notice my death grip on dad's shoulder).

mommy shielded me from sun with her mega hat...no sunburn here baby...

all in all i had a pretty good time...maybe next time we'll make sand castles and find some warmer water...

but we didn't get up early enough to see the sunrise, so it was the sunset deck for us...God uses the best color combos...

we stopped by to say good bye to uncle leonard at his job (shout out to fox 28) on our way back to jacksonville. hooray for PCB...can't wait to go back!
